Stourton: Kinver 1.5 miles; Stourbridge 3 miles; Bewdley 9 miles; Bridgnorth 12 miles. The small hamlet of Stourton is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and is just a short drive from Bewdley, once described as "the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire". Bewdley sits on the banks of the River Severn, close to the medieval Wyre Forest with its many walks and cycle routes, and offers much to delight visitors, with a good choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants along the riverside, many tiny shops, antique and craft galleries. Also close by are some of the best attractions in the country including The Severn Valley Railway, the West Midlands Safari Park, Cadbury World and the Black Country Living Museum. The area offers excellent walking, with Monarchs Way and the Staffordshire Way close by, panoramic views at the top of the Clent Hills and Kinver Edge, or for the less energetic, pretty canalside walks along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire or Stourbridge canals, both close by and a haven for wildlife. Further afield there are a wealth of country parks, great houses, museums and picturesque villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, Ironbridge Gorge, the beautiful Malvern Hills, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. Something for everyone!
